Oliver Community Arts Council Fall Art Show, 2016
Collage # 14, “Horseshoe Bend”, an old hydraulic mine site on the Bridge River near Lillooet, BC that is going wild at last. Operated from about 1908 to recent times, it wrecking havoc on the fish on this important First Nation fishing river. At the confluence of the Bridge and the Fraser River, dip net salmon fishing and salmon rack drying has been carried on for untold centuries. 36″ X 36″, this was my second most ambitious project and it won first prize by popular vote in the “Other Media” category at the Oliver Art Council Fall Art Show in October, 2016.
